Dinner/Theatre Review: Medievel Times
Mood:  energetic

Yesterday, my wife and I went to "Medievel Times" at the CNE in Toronto. While the event successed wonderfully as a tournament and a horse show, it left something to be desired as a play and eating place.

The meal reeked of garlic on just about everything and this spoiled it for me and my partner.

The play about choosing a "Protector Of The Throne" and husband for the princess started well, but deteriorated into predicable results as the princesses' favourite was revealed early . Unfortunately, "the winner" wasn't the best horseman or tournament player of the six/seven? knights.

The unmasking of the villian was also predictable and the climax suffered because of it.

All in all, I'd give this production two and a half stars. Great tournament, but lousy ending and meal.

If you go, come between 7:00 P.M and 7:30 P.M.  The earlier arrival time at 6:00 P.M is just the "Happy Hour" when they try to sell you overpriced drinks and souvenirs.
