Apparently, the physicial punishment of Jesus in Jerusalem took precedent over his spiritual problems. For many Jews and disciples, Christ was suppose to vanquish the Romans and bring about his Father's Kingdom to this world. However, Jesus was operating on a greater plan than just the conquest of some dirt ball in a forgotten qualaxy. He envisioned the eventual salvation of man through his death and resurrection. "As in Adam all die, so in Christ, all will be made alive." I believe that in order to carry out the salvation plan, Christ had to go back in time to reverse the destructive power of pain which leads to darkness, death, physical corruption and unconsciousness.
This was the first war between the spirits and I believe that most of us have a trace memory of the event. Since all this occurred outside of time, the all embracive nature of God's Mercy could be experienced anywhere in the finite universe. "By Grace are ye saved and not by works."
This is the beginning on my new series of articles, "New Age 21st Christianity". There's no dogma and no fixation on 1st century Christians. Your feedback, visions and mystical experiences are always welcome.
