Canadian Joke Of The Week
Three Canadians and three Americans are traveling by train to a hockey game. At the station, the three Americans each buy tickets and watch as the three Canadians buy only a single ticket.

"How are the three people going to travel on only one ticket? " asks an American.

"Watch and you'll see, " answers a Canadian.

They all board the train. The Americans take their respective seats but all three Canadians cram into a bathroom and close the door behind them.

Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the bathroom door and says, "Ticket, please. " The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand.

The conductor takes it and moves on. The Americans see this and agree it was quite a clever idea. So after the game, they decide to copy the Canadians on the return trip and save some money (being clever with money, and all that).

When they get to the station, they buy a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the Canadians don't buy a ticket at all.

"How are you going to travel without a ticket? " asks one perplexed American.

"Watch and you'll see," answers a Canadian.

When they board the train the three Americans cram into a bathroom and the three Canadians cram into another bathroom nearby.

Once the train leaves the station, one of the Canadians leaves and walks over to the bathroom where the Americans are hiding, knocks on the door, and says, "Ticket, please. "

Boxoffice #1: The Passion Of The Christ
Despite the fact that this film concentrated on Christ's blood and physical punishment, rather than the spiritual conflicts(between Jesus, God and his disciples). It still managed to hit a responsive cord with its gritty realism and arcane dialogue.

My Spiritual Views #1: The Passion Of The Christ(The Movie)
Apparently, the physicial punishment of Jesus in Jerusalem took precedent over his spiritual problems. For many Jews and disciples, Christ was suppose to vanquish the Romans and bring about his Father's Kingdom to this world. However, Jesus was operating on a greater plan than just the conquest of some dirt ball in a forgotten qualaxy. He envisioned the eventual salvation of man through his death and resurrection. "As in Adam all die, so in Christ, all will be made alive." I believe that in order to carry out the salvation plan, Christ had to go back in time to reverse the destructive power of pain which leads to darkness, death, physical corruption and unconsciousness.

This was the first war between the spirits and I believe that most of us have a trace memory of the event. Since all this occurred outside of time, the all embracive nature of God's Mercy could be experienced anywhere in the finite universe. "By Grace are ye saved and not by works."

This is the beginning on my new series of articles, "New Age 21st Christianity". There's no dogma and no fixation on 1st century Christians. Your feedback, visions and mystical experiences are always welcome.

Our daily cartoon is located in the entry dated Feb/22/04. I'm sure you'll remember that a year from now. Memory tip: It's right after the stinking(Phew)heart on Feb/14/04. It's a gorgeous Sunday in Brampton. Nice day to visit someone special like my mother in Newmarket.

Have You Ever Met A Newfy?
Mood:  d'oh
Two Newfies walk into a pet shop. They go directly over to the bird section. Gerry says to Paddy, "Dat's dem." The clerk comes over and asks if he can help them. "Yeah, we'll take four of dem dere budgies in dat cage op dere," says Gerry, "Put dem in a peeper bag." The clerk puts the budgies in a bag, and the two guys pay for the birds and leave the shop. They get into Gerry's Edsel and drive until they are high up on a hill, and stop at the top of a cliff with a 500-foot drop. "Dis looks like a grand place, eh?" says Gerry. He then takes two birds out of the bag, places them on his shoulders and jumps off the cliff. Paddy watches as his mate drops off the edge and goes straight down for a few seconds, before he hits the rocks below with a 'SPLAT!'. As Paddy looks down he shakes his head and says, "Fock dat, dis budgie jumpin' is too fockin' dangerous for me.

A Prize For Being A Masterplayer
If anyone answers 25 questions correctly from the quiz below, they'll win a T-shirt with this on it:
"I'm a Masterplayer at Hotel California." There'll also be a colourful design on the shirt which I haven't discovered yet.

All the questions can be answered by studying the Hotel California/Area 53 and related websites carefully.

Just imagine that you're the detective in charge of solving the mysteries at Hotel California. Best of luck.

Participate in the Masterplayer's Quiz!
