Hi Tech Christianity Versus Low Tech Christianity
I guess most of us are familiar with the subject of "Low Tech Christianity." Basically, this is the attempt of various religions to understand how Christians 2000 years ago perceived God, Christ, heaven, hell, demons, salvation, etc.

One must understand, that those who wrote the bible also thought the world was flat and the universe revolved around the Earth. Nobody's accusing the early prophets of being stupid or deceitful, just scientifically primitive(i.e."Low Tech").

The imagery of Christianity came out of another low tech civilization called the Middle Ages. The idea of heaven as a place where one floats around on a cloud and plays a harp or eats Philadelphia cream cheese seems absurd to me. Again, this is low tech visualizing coming from a very restricted view of the universe(Heaven above, Hell beneath, Earth in the center).

"Hi Tech Christianity" simply improves our visualization and understanding of Christian concepts. The universe becomes an enormous mind-boggling morass which one navigates in through a star ship rather than with angel wings.

An immortal body might be something that an android like Star Trek's Data might have. It might also be a "photonic body" like the doctor in Star Trek's Voyager.

It is likely that the memories of a life time are downloaded into a super computer using a special password(e.g. Jesus Christ)and "saved" for a very long time.

This isn't a subject that comes up very often on the internet. The search term "Hi-Tech Christianity" produced only one result and here it is:
