Movie Review 99: The Legend Of Zorro
Mood:  a-ok
To begin with, both Antonio Bandaras and Catherine Zita-Jones make an excellent Mr. and Mrs Zorro. Their scenes together whether fighting with each other or the enemy are priceless.

The story moves along at a quick pace, but some of the chiffhangers are contrived.

Not as good as the first Zorro, but still entertaining and the fight scenes are great. Three stars.

Movie Review 98: Harry Potter Goblet Of Fire
Mood:  down
To start with, I'm a fan of the series, but this Harry Potter was disappointing. There's just too much English prep school in this one with dates, quidditch matches, wizard contests and even the same old school mufflers worn by all the students.

The real wizard contest should have been between Lord Voldemort and Harry, but that didn't occur until the end and the fight which insued was....not so hot.

Basically, there was too much Hogwart's universe and not enough epic battles with evil. Two stars.

Two New Domain Names Added
For those who like mysterious journeys into the unknown, I've added two more easy to remember names:
1. www.hclinks.org 2. www.sacredjourney.biz
Despite the imagination which I applied to these websites, both journeys were take by me in the physical universe. Any guesses as to where?

Irene Has A New Job
Yes, I've said that before in this blog.

For different reasons, the earlier jobs were not permanent ones.

As human beings, we are sometimes subject to circumstances beyond our control. Indeed, often we need help from other humans and God just to maintain a decent standard of living.

Irene likes where she works now in the office of a manufacturing plant. By car, it's only 10 minutes to work.

Irene's a hard worker and deserves a break from anyone. Life and work(or the lack of it)should be less of a burden for her. She has paid her dues.

Please post a prayer for the long term unemployed or the undervalued at work at this online prayer center.

It isn't just us. There's many people in the same boat.

Keep The Net Open And Keep It Neutral
Mood:  loud
There has been some efforts of "Service Providers" to control the Internet so only those with money get to see all the content.

Tyler Hamilton interviewed the "World-Wide Web" founder, Tim Berners-Lee, on this subject. It should be noted that Mr. Berners-Lee never profited from his discovery. It was given to mankind as a broad "Forum for Information".

Hopefully through his and our efforts, the net will continue to grow and help others to understand each other.

It Could Be Worse
Sure my wife and I have had our share of problems, but compared to those below our problems have been just challenging:

If you find yourself stuck in traffic;
Don't get angry.Think of all the people for whom
driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work;
Think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad;
Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror;
Think of the cancer patient in chemo therapy
who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose?
Be thankful! There are those who didn't live
long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness,ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse.
You could be them.

Working Stiff
Mood:  accident prone
I have a frozen shoulder from doing very heavy, continuous lifting at work and not getting enough rest in the evening.

It was painful trying to lift my arm up so I could comb my hair. Even everyday tasks like putting on clothes or driving became very difficult.

I'm now taking physiotherapy and Lakota to combat this condition. Some progress has been made.

If you want to learn more about "Frozen Shoulder" or "Tendonitis", check out the links below:

Good Stuff In My E-Mail Box
Most of the mail I receive is just crap or spam or whatever you want to call it.

Some of it is great stuff sent to me by family or friends. Here's sample of these gems:

Why did my wife leave me?
My wife left me, I don't understand. After the last child was born, she told me we had to cut back on expenses, I had to give up drinking beer.
I was not a big drinker maybe a 12 pack on weekends.
Anyway, I gave it up but I noticed the other day she came home from grocery shopping and when I looked at the receipt and saw $45 in makeup. I
said, "Wait a minute I've given up beer and you haven't given up anything!"She said, "I buy that makeup for you, so I can look pretty for you."
I told her, "Hell, that's what the beer was for!"
I don't think she'll be back.

Interesting Fact
Mood:  special
While doing a Google Search on "Irene Barron", I noticed that the first eight links pertained to my wife, Irene Barron.

Try it yourself on different search engines and tell me what you find.
