Fun Jobs In The Afterlife

A few year ago, I created a list called "The Top Ten Things You Could Do After You're Dead". I've expanded this list with the websites below that might challenge your imagination:
Perhaps, you could be a resident spook on a paranormal TV show like "Ghost Hunters", "Paranormal State" or "Rescue Mediums". Every week you would impersonate a local entity or lost soul. Having established yourself, you would move up to your own "Haunted Funhouse" in Niagara Falls or California.
You could also opened up a human exorcism company like in the movie Beetlejuice.
A very creative spirit could haunt places like "golf courses" and mysterious government projects like "Area 53".
Maybe, you could protect earth from deceptive aliens or do good deeds as a guardian angel.
In meantime, have a safe, happy Halloween.

More On Our Haliburton Vacation

Above is a view of Lake Kashagawigamog where we stayed at Wigamog Inn. This is God's Country, lots of rain forest and wildlife.
We were fortunate to capture three white tail deer on video tape eating grass outside our kitchen window.
Last week we visited "The Ethel Curry Gallery" and "Rail's End Gallery" in Haliburton. I was surprised at the quantity and quality of the artwork in the region. My personal favourites were miniature woodcarvings by local artist, Keith Rydberg.
It's an interestingfact, but the old Haliburton-Linsay railway line is a now a bike path. You can find more about it and other bike trails at www.jaggedpath.com.
If you get a chance to discover the rugged beauty of Northern and Central Ontario, please do it. This includes Ontario ghost towns as well.

Our Vacation In Haliburton, Ontario

It's great when you can take a unique vacation in your own country and province. This is especially true when you live in Ontario with its many lakes and scenic wilderness.
Last week we journeyed to Haliburton and Minden in Central Ontario just below Algonquin Park.
We stayed at Haliburton Heights on Lake Kashagawigamog about 10 miles from Haliburton. The surrounding forest was overwhelming with its reds, yellows, oranges and greens. October is the best month to catch Ontario in its finest colours.
Many of the businesses in Haliburton had fall displays in front their of their stores. We were fortunate to get these on video tape.
On October the fifteenth, we went to Minden where we talked to Sharon Lawrence about her husband's (RD Lawrence) work as a naturalist and author. Their museum has many pictures of the wild animals they helped and the causes they fought for.
One of our vacation highlights was a mural by Robert Van Nood. You really have to see it on Minden's beer store wall to appreciate it fully. Part of it is reproduced below:
We plan to check out the Haliburton Museum and art gallery, this week.
The Great White North is for everybody to enjoy not just Canadians.

A Health Program Should Include Saunas

Recently, I've started taking a sauna after my gym exercise program. Saunas not only get rid of excessive water in the body, but also reduce toxins that accumulate in the fat cells.
You may not know this, but saunas are used frequently by diverse parts of humanity. These include Finns, Native Americans, and Scientologists.
Of course, it's important to important to eat lots of veggies and super foods like pomegranate, but don't neglect intense physical exercise and hot saunas.
The road to optimal physical and spiritual health is not an easy one. It requires discipline and dedication to achieve a healthy body and mind in a substandard environment.

Canada Post Makes The Top 100 Again

According to Mediacorp, Canada Post is a "Top 100 Employer in Canada" for the third straight time.
As a former employee of Canada Post, I would agree with that selection. Before I became a postie, I worked at many jobs that offered little in benefits, wages or job security. Four or five times, I was fired from jobs for petty reasons or the whim of a boss. Needless to say, I stayed with CPC until I retired earlier this year. You can discover my involvement with the Post Office and The Canadian Union Of Postal Workers at www.cupw.info.
CPC has also avoided layoffs and pension problems that afflicted other companies.
I appreciate the continued benefits at a reasonable cost in retirement.

Many companies subject employees to unreal expectations and intimidation, but that wasn't the case with the Post Office. Usually, I found that problems could be worked out with the supervisors and other workers.

Opening Doors To The Subconscious

During the 20th century, the subconscious mind of many people were opened up by various practitioners and teachers. Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, William James, Edgar Cayce and Ron Hubbard were a few researchers into this field. These men were modern day Prometheuses who were not content to follow the academic experts of their time.
Eventually, these journeys into the subconscious lead to past lives and past life therapy.
This is too big a subject to put into a blog entry or even one book.
Past life memory is also hard to face because it's full of painful deaths, horrible loses and incredible setbacks. Just look at mankind's suffering by war, disease and famine.
I believe it's possible to recover past life memories and to learn from them. Please check out "The Memory Recovery Project" on the right hand side of this page and other related blog entries.

More On Zombie Attacks

As many of us might know "Alien Greys" have been abducting humans for many centuries. For some reason at the beginning of the 20th century, they ended up in the employment of the Marcab Confederacy. Their job was to find out what frightened humans more than anything else. The results concluded that zombies scared people the most.
This lead to "The Odessa Project" which created super Nazi soldiers that were in actual fact zombies. The plan was to create such incredible fear amongst the allies that they would surrend without a fight. The zombies would attack at night and their victums would be returned to the Marcabs for programing and reanimation.
Once "The Zombie Apocalpse" had spread to the U.S. and the U.K., the Marcabs would appear and save the Earth from imminent destruction. From that point, conquest of Earth would be easy with the help of religious fundamentalists.
Obviously, this didn't occur because defenders from "The Federation of Light" stopped it.
It's hard fathom the recent covert interference in the affairs of mankind. Fortunately, there are beings who are willing to defend man against high tech evil.

Aliens, Nazis And Zombies

If you did a google search on "Nazis UFOs" or "Nazi Aliens", you would probably end up with over 5,000 results.
There's also a video game called "Nazi Zombies" and two horror movies called "Zombie Lake" and "Dead Snow".
There is a legend that the "Marcabs" and "The Greys" used Nazis to create super soldiers that couldn't be killed by ordinary means. This was to assist an alien invasion in 1945.
"The super soldiers" turned out to be programned zombies from Hitler's SS. "The Federation of Light" found out about these evil activities and infiltrated a Marcab Outpost on Earth to stop it.
There are obsessions about aliens, zombies and Nazis in some parts of humanity. No doubt, visions of these events surface from our subconscious occasionally.

What Is The Best Zombie Movie Of All Time?

As the Halloween season rolls around, we seem to inundated by zombie movies on TV and in the theatre. Will you be checking out theatre zombies in "Dead (Yellow?) Snow", "Diary of the Deadheads", "Zombieland in Disneyworld" or "From Dusk to Shaun (Beam me down Scotty)"?
On TV, you can catch, "Shaun of the Dead", "Land of the Dead", "Dawn of the Dead" and "Night of the Living Dead".
I haven't seen any of the movies in the first paragraph, but Zombieland looks like it might be good for a few chuckles.
Of the "dead" movies on TV, Shaun of the Dead definitely stands out as the horror?/comedy film of the decade.
My choice, however, for the best zombie movie of all time is "Return of the Living Dead". The trailer is featured at the top of this entry. Not only is there a great deal of humor in this film, but the zombies are more interesting than other dead things in horror flicks. "Send more cops" was one zombie memorable line.
Please note, that not only the recent dead resurrect, but the long dead as well. They have different eating habits from regular zombies and they have a good reason for attacking humans.
The movie was made in the 1980s and has a great ending. Three and half stars.

Top Ten Lessons That I've Learned From Poker

If you break even at Texas Hold'Em over a long stretch of time, you're a winner.
Playing with people you like is more fun than playing with strangers.
"Knowing your limit and playing within it" is the secret to a stress free poker game.
The only variable with luck is that it changes. Sometimes quicker than you think.
"Going On Tilt" can destroy poker skills that took years to acquire.
A "Bad Beat" like a bad experience is something that you have to put behind you in order to succeed in life or poker.
In order to improve your poker skills, you have to play for a meaningful amount of real cash. With play money, there's nothing of value to be won or loss.
Develop other interests that you can improve on, or you might become a poker addict.
Appreciating good play and refraining from rant is important in life as well as poker.
Maximize your gains with the best hands and minimize your loses by folding second or third best hands. Sometimes, you have to fold pocket aces because an opponent has a better hand then you.
In whatever game your playing in life, sports or poker, I wish you all the best except when your playing against me.
