This list isn't about the sexiest videos of all time or dance/disco music that may be sexy as well. It's about songs that have hot lyrics with a hot beat.
Please note that Billboard has its own top 50 list on this subject. I agree with some of the choices, but disagree with the others.
What turns a person on is subjective from one individual to another.
Of the songs below, only Elvis Presley made the list twice.
It's noteworthy that Rod Stewart, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, The Fugs, MacLean/ MacLean and Ray Stevens didn't make this list. The last three relate to the novelty aspect of "hot material" rather than the stimulative effect of it.
This is, probably, the hottest top ten list I'll ever make. I hope you enjoy the songs and performers:
- Burning Love by Elvis Presley: I've sung this song many times at karaoke. It's a hoot.
- Hot Stuff by Donna Sommer: Probably, the best disco song of all time.
- Baby One More Time by Britney Spears: She played the seductive teenager very well in this steamy video.
- I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry: Sexual experimentation never sounded so good.
- Do You Want To Touch Me by Joan Jett: The queen of 80's rock moved me with this one.
- Chick A Boom by Daddy Dewdrop: The song has a wild beat with wild lyrics.
- You're The One That I Want by Olivia Newton John and John Travolta: Olivia goes from Sandra Dee to an 80's rocker in a blink of an eye.
- Big Hunk Of Love by Elvis Presley: Elvis gets the ladies going with a second helping of burning love.
- Kiss You All Over by Exile: The song really delivers what is suggested in the title.
- Honey, Honey by Abba: Both the words and movements of the singers communicate sultry excitement.
Some runners up for the hottest tunes of all time might be Anita Ward's "Ring My Bell", Barry White's "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Baby", The Pointer Sister's "Slow Hand", Madonna's "Like A Virgin" and Georgia Gibbs, "Kiss Of Fire".
When you want to get in the mood for a little or a lot of loving, great background music really helps.
