The film was halfway between real people and cartoon people. The end results were people that seemed cool and distant.
The story would have been better served by genuine humans who could interact with each other in complicated delightful ways.
Great special effects often took center stage to the dramatic ambiguous reality of the train and the storyline.
The ending was heartwarming and satisfying.
This was a high concept movie that wasn't fully realized for different reasons: Two and a half stars.
