What's Behind Halloween?
I believe that Halloween is a tribute to those spirits out there who didn't conform to acceptable standards of physical beauty or body form. In that respect, you might compare them to the non-conformist movements of the 1950s(the beatniks)and the 1960s(the hippies) "Where your reality is at Daddy-O isn't where my reality is at." Even a golf game might be different on a paranormal plane.

Happy Halloween
Mood:  mischievious
This is the night for those who live in unpleasant places to walk the earth. My wife and I are going to "a scaraoke"(i.e. karaoke)tonight. I'm going as a village idiot, my wife as an ugly witch and a friend of ours as Elvira with real "slut shoes".

Have a fun and safe Halloween wherever you are.

Number One At The Boxoffice: Scary Movie Three
Mood:  party time!
While many audiences may feel sequelled to death, the present take-off on thriller movies dominates at the boxoffice despite what the critics say.

In thriller/horror films there may reside dark humor, which can exploited in the original pictures or in a spoofs like the Scary Movie series.
Cheap thrills often lead to cheap laughs which can result in big office receipts.

Movie Review 52: Call Me Claus
Mood:  quizzical
It wasn't Whoopi Golberg as Santa Claus that bothered me in this one. It was the fact that the story line was a mishmash of other Santa Claus movies like "The Santa Clause" and "Nick Of Time." Added to the mix was the Christmas songtrack/promotion of executive producer, Garth Brooks. The original movies all get at least three stars, but this cover version gets only two.

Movie Review 51: Far From Heaven
Julianne Moore and the rest of the cast give fine performances in this one, but it can't compensate for the superficial handling of homosexuality and interracial relationships in the late 50s. Going along with racial prejudice or closet homosexuality was depressing in the 50s but it helped create the changes in the 60s. "Far from Heaven" seems too passive in accepting the status quo. Two and a half stars.

New Page View Record
Mood:  happy
Over the last month, our websites have set a new page view record of 15108. That's about 500 page views a day. I think that's pretty good for a non-porn site. Thank you for visiting our webpages. May the mysteries of Hotel California/Area 53 become clear to you one day.

Turn Your Radio On
Mood:  bright
Digital TV, radio and the internet may give us more access to information, music and movies than ever before, but it certainly doesn't connect us up with the spirit world.

Unfortunately, our physical body can only receive certain vibrational frequencies on earth. Even certain sounds are beyond our ability to hear them. Throughout the ages, spiritual travelers have developed their "mystical senses" to perceive God, the spirit world or the afterlife. Because these senses are anything but perfect in a human body, the perception of the supernatural and the paranormal can vary greatly from person to person.

Using the analogy of a radio, the physical senses could be considered the AM band and "the mystical senses of the soul" the FM band.

In the song, "Turn Your Radio On", the author is not talking about a physical electronic gadget. We all have our inner spiritual receiver, but we all don't tune into the same station.
