Movie Review 95: The Dukes Of Hazzard
Mood:  down
The TV series was stupid, but lots of fun. This movie was just plain stupid and boring, even Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke wasn't sexy(too skinny).

Fortunately, this film didn't cost me a cent. I borrowed it off a friend.

One and a half stars. The half star was for the crazy car chases. OK, but they went on too long.

Happy New Year From The Canadian Beavers
2005 wasn't a good year for many people including us(My wife, Irene, is still unemployed). This includes those affected by hurricanes and tsunamis and earthquakes.

Luckly, we live in the relative security of Brampton Canada which isn't as bad as some parts of the GTA(Greater Toronto Area).

There was record high gun crime in Toronto last year(Still alot better than most U.S. cities).

Despite everything, we're still fun loving Canadians(Newfies and Quebecois included), who know how to have a good time.

A Busy End To The Year
Mood:  caffeinated
Well, I'm still working my butt off with overtime at the Post Office. At the last count there were still twenty trailers in the yard to process. Christmas has been good to posties, but customers should have mailed earlier.

Yesterday, Irene and I went north to Innisfil(near Barrie Ontario), to visit our daughter, Roxane and our two grandchildren, Kyle and Devon. An affectionate "robot raptor" and a "dancing robot" were two of the stupidest gifts, I've ever seen.

Tonight, we're going to Cambridge(Ontario)for a mini Noseworthy reunion. My wife's brother, Joe Noseworthy is preparing a big turkey for 30 guests. It will a downhome(Newfy)celebration, but there won't be much drinking because Joe's an Anglican minister.

On Sunday, we're visiting Irene's niece, Delores and her family in Ajax. They've recently moved into a new home with a swimming pool. Maybe, I'll take a polar bear swim in it.

Interesting facts, Irene's daughter, Roxane and niece, Delores were born 24 hours apart, they have two children about the same age(One with girls[Kristen and Natasha],and the other with boys). They also married cousins with the name of Hussey.

Most families have interesting histories. If you want to check out the Barron, Noseworthy and Hussey families go to The Barron Family Pages.

We should feel fortunate that we have families to visit over the holidays. Many don't.

Merry Christmas From Christmas World
Mood:  celebratory
A special Merry Christmas to those who visited our websites over the last 24 hours. There were 2227 page views for the day. This is a new record. Wow!!!.

Hopefully, we'll all connect and see each other in Christmas World some day. This was the first eternal world that Jesus created. We were all "Children of the Kingdom" back then.

In this earthly existence, we lose so much because this world is transitory. Christmas World was created out of the hopes and dreams of children. It was/is a world of eternal permanence. You don't have to grow up if you don't want to. Friends and family share memories of good times and Santa and his elves are real people not just figments of our imagination.

In the media and on TV, the songs and movies about Christmas proliferate. While the actual reality of "Christmas World" doesn't exist here, the mental reality of it does and it influences Christians and non-Christians everywhere.

It's a big universe out there. We should turn our "radios on" and start expanding our viewpoints.

What do you want for Christmas?

Your Prayers Are Needed
Below is a letter which I sent to my member of parliament with regards to barriers that my wife, Irene, has encountered with "skills training upgrades".

HRSDC means "Human Resource Skills Development of Canada". It's a government department.

Here is the letter:
"There is a serious situation in getting my wife, Irene, upgraded in the latest Payroll Software,
like ADP and Ceridian. They will not give a "Letter of Acceptance For HRSDC" because they only give
their courses to business customers and their employees.

However, she can't get a job in the payroll industry because she doesn't have the latest payroll software upgrades. It's a "Catch-22" situation.

These arbitrary barriers to Skills Development and employment must be addressed by HRSDC. Irene is working hard to complete her Level One CPA(Canadian Payroll Association), but this in itself doesn't produce a position as a "Payroll Administrator."

I know that you're fighting for the rights of immigrants to get gainful employment in Canada in their career field. Here's an example of a Canadian being shutout of payroll skills development because she's unemployed. This is against her right to adequate training/upgrading in a profession that she has worked in for over ten years.

The bigger the mountain climbed, the sweeter the victory. Things will turn around for the better.

Postie Elves
Mood:  caffeinated
All of the postie elves are working overtime to bring Christmas presents from Santa's helpers to everyone in Canada.

For some, it's a twelve hour day, seven days a week until Christmas Eve.

At the Toronto Exchange Office, I'll work seven days a week and do the occasional 12. For the holiday season, we've expanded from two shifts to three. Some elves have to be imported from other sections with the promise of lots of gravy(i.e. overtime).
Lets face it, the Canadian Post Office pays better than Santa. It's time for the big guy to give more gravy to his helpers or they will go on strike.

Watch Out For Falling Christmas Trees
Mood:  accident prone
Our Christmas tree stand was suppose to steady a tree of 9 feet or more, but don't believe in promotional hype. The tree fell down and many bulbs were smashed. There was also tons of needles everywhere(a sign of an old tree).

We went out and bought a "Nova Scotia Balsam Fir." Luckily, we didn't have to go to Nova Scotia to get it. The guy who sold it to us was from Nova Scotia, but the tree just arrived a few days ago. He was a nice guy and drove the tree to our home in his truck. There was no extra charge for doing this.
That's what they call downeast hospitality.

The tree keeps its moisture well and has a good scent. Pity, they have to import them into Ontario from Nova Scotia.

Twas The Night Before Christmas In Newfoundland
"I saw him with me own eyes"
by Short Arse McCod

T'was the night before Christmas, all hands was in
bed
Enough noise goin' on to wake up the dead
Long stockings and vamps were nailed to the wall
With girt four-inch nails so ne'er one would
fall.
The youngsters wuz jumping up and down on the bed
T'inkin' 'bout the presents he hid in the shed
Mudder in the kitchen was washin' her hair
And I was sot down wit' a glass full of beer.
When out in the yard I heard such a noise
I said "Put on the soup-dat must be the boys."
Away to the window I started to race
Tripped over the two kittens and fell on me face.
The moon and the stars shined down on the snow
It's s'pose to be that way, 'tis Christmas you know
When what to me bloodshot eyes should appear
But a queer lookin' Santa 'without da reindeer.
Long rubber boots, red suit, and a beard on his jaws
I said to the missus, that's not Sanity Claus
When I opened the door to see what was the matter
I seen 'im climb on the porch wit' me ladder.
Now the roof of the house was covered with snow
But he sang and he danced and he bawled out "HO, HO,ARSEHOLE "
He tripped up in the chimney when I looked around
I saw him and the chimney squat up on the ground.
He was soot and snow from his head to his feet
But he started to come 'round when he got in the
heat
He walked in wit' me chimney and sot on a chair
And the youngsters started screechin', "Santy is
here!"
There was icicles hangin' from eyebrows and nose
So he sot by the stove cause his face was half
froze. He took off his boots to warm up his feet
While mudder was fixin' him somethin' to eat
With a wink of his eyes and a nod of his head
He ate t'ree bowls of soup and six slices of bread
He spoke not a word 'till he finished his quoff
Said t'anks to the missus, now I gotta take off.
With the side of his finger he wiped off his nose
And asked for a face clot to clean off his clothes,
Sorry 'bout the chimney he said with a laugh
When I fell down on top of 'em, I broke 'en in half.
He left in a hurry as quick as he came
We never got the chance to ask him his name
But I heard 'en bawl out as he put on his boot
"Merry Christmas to all and t'anks for the soup!".

I Was Santa Today
Today, I played Santa Claus at a senior's residence in Burlington, Ontario.

It was a great deal of fun, but very hot in the outfit.

Most women seem to enjoy the chubby guy in the red suit, especially, if he's jovial and affectionate(hugs and kisses).

After two hours of "hot Santa", it was good to go outside and relax.

The Transmigration Of Souls And Other Mysteries
Mood:  cool
Some of these would include "contact with angels", "alien abductions", "past lives" and "space- time portals."

These would all be part of the dangerous journey into the unknown. In order to grow spiritually or develop spiritual abilities, one has to come out of "the warm fuzzy comfort zone"(i.e. The reality box that shackles you.).

The use of intuition, faith and remote viewing is part of our native paranormal powers.

No one is going to hand you the secrets of the universe on a silver platter. The journey of discovery begins at the time of birth and goes beyond death.

Memory traces of past lives, angels, aliens and other worlds can come through therapy, music, movies, books and internet websites like www.katimavik.info.

Coming out of "The Box" can be scary for oneself and others. So what? If we're going to win the game of life, we have to be aggressive in gaining new and forbidden knowlege.
