One of my big questions in life was what happened to the early Christians and the first church? Most Christians would just reply to that question with "they all went to heaven". Where's that? "Where Christ is." Where's Christ? "See the first answer." This is a line of questioning that goes nowhere for a human being in the 21st century.
It's assumed that these early Christians have eternal life. In some way, if you're now a Christian, you're still connected with them. You're part of "the vine" and "the mind of Christ". However, the connection with early Christianity for most people was and still is through the 2000- year old history tract called the Bible.
The first church has moved on somewhere to the 21st century, but most Christian were still looking at them in the 1st century. Isn't there something wrong with that? Isn't there a living eternal body of Christ that has survived the destruction of human life through the centuries? Can it be contacted? Can we receive help from them? I believe so. I believe that Christianity is an eternal brotherhood called The Priesthood Of Melchizedek.
Christ collected his lost sheep on earth. They recogized his voice and followed him. He was the Son Of God and he was going to make his disciples sons of God.
A long time ago, many of us(spirits)were in training to be sons Of God but we dropped out of school and used our powers for evil(Something like the Jedi Knights who used the dark side of the Force.)The only one who passed was Jesus Christ. Through the miracle and mystery of the cross, he was able to break down the barriers that separate our consciousnesses.
At the beginning of the universe, we were all united together as Elim(Gods), but things changed as individualities developed. Not only are we different people, but we have different experiences.
Wouldn't it be great if we could share our experiences and our unique viewpoints with each other? By baptizing yourself into the body of Christ, this can be done.
After all of the original witnesses left, Christianity gradually replaced revelation and personal experience with dogma(eg. "The Apostles Creed", "The Nicene Creed")You either believed in dogma stated by one church or some other dogma stated by another church(Thus were created the multible denominations of Christianity).
At some point in the future, I plan to create a series of webpages on "New-Age Christianity" If you wish to contribute your own insight on this subject, please e-mail me at qualteam@lycos.com.
