Top Ten News Headlines Over The Last 50,000 Years

God creates man in his own image. Denies that he's only looking for an obedient pet. Claims he has a secret purpose for this creation that only his Son knows.
Baron Von Snakestein creates a man out of a monkey's DNA and claims that his product is better than God's. "Modified evolution is superior to intelligent design any day."
Ugh Cannibal creates fire because he was tired of having his friends for dinner raw.
Dork Metalhead invents the wheel with a pole through it in order to create the first "exotic dance".
The first hieroglyphics appear on outhouse walls as a way of meeting hot dates.
Christ resurrects from the dead in 33 AD. Critics claim he used high tech smoke and mirrors/heliographs to pull off this magical stunt.
Gutenberg invents the printing press because no one wanted to rewrite his epic novel.
Edison invents the light blub, the phonograph and the motion picture projector because 19th century life bored him to tears.
Jack Kilby invents the computer chip because he kept forgetting where he put his stuff.

Upping The Ante On "The Corporate Team Incentive"

As you know, the Corporate Team Incentive is Canada Post's bonus program that CUPW reluctantly accepted.
While I may be a sentient child of the universe, I'm still a postie with a large mortgage. My wife and I need extra money if we're both going to retire comfortably.
Lets face facts, the overtime at TEO has been cut back substantially and my wife is working at a job that pays a lot less than the last one.
We're not in a position where we can coast to retirement and smell the roses. I believe the Corporate Team Incentive has to improve in order for it to pay well. I sent these suggestions to CPC president, Moya Green, to put more punch into Canada Post's bonus program.
"In order to increase individual participation in the CTI bonus system. Basically, this program should involve the following:

1. Section and Facility competition on CTI targets on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
2. Exchange Offices, Special Products, Pubs and Ads etc. would be in competition to win against other similiar sections throughout Canada in "The CTI Top Post Office Facility Game."
3. Prizes would be given to the number one team in each area of the competition on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
The ultimate prize would be a CTI percentage that shoots out the roof.
4. Prizes could desirable things like restaurant coupons, tickets to sporting events, and discount coupons at Future Shop, etc.
A cup and a banquet could given to the best sections and facilities of the year.
5. Prizes could be given for perfect individual attendance in a year as well. These would be given out at the same banquet, of course.
In the eighties, I belonged to an organization that had a game/competition going that involved all of its offices around the planet. Productivity and statistics were raised to new heights during that time. It was lots of fun to participate in and to contribute with highter stats of one's own.

Being "number one" is like winning the Stanley Cup. One has bragging rights for the year.

As former Green Bay packer coach, Vince Lombardi one said: "Winning isn't everything. It's the only thing."
I don't have enough money to gamble properly and my writing career hasn't taken off yet. I'm just playing this hand for the most I can get out of it.

Rock And Roll Dreams And Nightmares

I'm not talking about the the innocent, happy 50s and 60s. That was pretty well done to death in the sitcom, Happy Days.
I'm talking about something darker like "The Phantom Of The Paradise" and "The Rocky Horror Show". It isn't a coincidence that "Satanic influences" and "Alien Abductions" are mixed with rock and roll in these movies. Past life memories are brought to the surface of consciousness by some forms of music.
I had a revelation that rock and roll was an ancient alien therapy used to stimulate stem cell creation and perpetuate eternal youth. Of all the different kinds of music, rock seems to define what being young means. In a very old universe, this therapy would be valuable.
In a world of the dead or the undead, rock and roll helps bring souls back to life. Bring them back to life in a new universe. Can you feel it? Can you get the vision?

Finally, I've got hold of my number one Do Wop song of all time again: "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" by Showaddywaddy. Personally, I think that it's better than Curtis Lee's version and the music video sure beats his which doesn't exist.

What Does It Mean To Be A Canadian?

I've lived in Canada all my life. I was born in Pembroke, Ontario and I was raised in Barrie, Ontario. I've taken this country for granted, but I know that we're a land of diverse cultures, languages and religions.
What made me proud to be a Canadian lately was how well "The Native-Canadians' protests" were handled on June/29/07. The Mohawks put blockades on the road and rail lines to Montreal but there was no violence. Both the police and the CN railroad respected the blockades and in 24 hours they were taken down. The natives made a statement about their horrible living conditions and most us acknowledged their right to do so.
"What does it mean to be a Canadian?" Here's how a new immigrant answered that question in a letter to the Toronto Star today:
"This is maple leaf country, where most people still believe in human rights, that our system works and that we can save the planet from global warming. As a proud new Canadian,, I know now that being Canadian means to be a volunteer, a peacemaker and an eternal believer".

Problems With "First Contact"

One of the best Star Trek New Generation episodes was "Who Watches The Watchers". The story dealt with accidental first contact of the Enterprise with a primitive alien race.
An inhabitant of this planet gets injured in an explosion of a "Watcher's Post" and then is beamed on board the Enterprise where he's fixed up by a "God Called Picard". The person is beamed back to his planet, but the damage is done. Suddenly, he becomes a prophet to his people about God and what God can do for them.
Because a watcher was injured during the explosion, Troi along with Ricker have to impersonate natives to find him. This leads to the capture of Troi and further violations of "The Prime Directive".
Picard has to meet with the native leaders to prove he isn't God which he does in another accident.
The story illustrates the dangers in "First Contact" when a more advanced society meets a primitive culture. Healing technology, transporter technology, starship technology might be regarded as the manifestation of a supreme being. There's evidence of this happening in the Bible, The Koran and The Book of Mormon.
The Second Coming Of Christ may have been postponed because it's a violation of a "Divine Prime Directive." In Star Trek mythology, a culture has to be close to warp drive before first contact is initiated.

Visions Of The Kingdom

As I've mentioned in other blog entries, "The Kingdom Of God" is primarily a place where our hopes and dreams can be preserved for all eternity. It doesn't exist in old universe space and time. It exists as a "New Heaven" and a "New Earth." This is "The Space/Time Continuum" that Jesus created when he rose from the dead. "The first born of the "New Reality".
When you think about things, music, games and fantasies that you love in this life, just image them created permanately on other worlds.
A place like "Harry Potter's Hogwarts" where one can develop his/her hidden magical powers.
A Disneyland where animals and fantastical characters live and interact with children.
A Holographic planet where everything you think up actually appears.
A Christmas World where every day is like Christmas.
Heavenly Continuums for reality-challenged Christians like "The Amish", "The Jehovah Witnesses" "The Pentacostals", etc. These worlds more or less are like the ones that sect believers died out of. The primary reason for the continuums is to preserve the memories of an earthly existence.
Dead worlds in which "The Brotherhood" extracts the histories of early civilizations.
Starships that fly outside of physical universe space to any point in the known or unknown universe.
Huge amounts of information storied in sentient computers on universal laws, lifetimes and individuals.
Educational courses on advance technology like flying starships, spiritual defense systems, building different kinds of bodies, preserving memories, etc.
Personal planning to achieve one's goals.
The Brotherhood of Christ has moved from a simple Invader Force to a very advanced technical and spiritual civilization.

Afterlife Options

Throughout our life, we make many decisions which changes the path we are on. We choose early in life what we want to study or not to study. We accept some people as friends and make others acquaintances or enemies. We marry one particular individual and often bring children into this world. We either accept the religion we were born in or find another more suitable to our own beliefs. We usually go from job to job in our early manhood/womanhood until we find one that is the least objectionable.
Maybe, we try to help poor strangers or simply limit our support to self, our closest friends and our families.
We make decisions on what crosses our path all the time.
There are options about the Afterlife that we can make now or when we're dead:
Accept unconsciousness and darkness as our final condition after the body dies.
Wait around graveyards reminiscing about previous lives with other spirits (e.g. See Thornton Wilder's "Our Town").
Get pulled into alternate realities from creative beings like Rod Sterling and H.P. Lovecraft. ...A weird reality is better than no reality.
Hang around a familiar house or castle until a psychic tells you to move on and get a life or a death.
Fly down to the local hospital and get another good body before some other spirit gets it.
Follow the light and the music from a "Brotherhood of Christ Rescue Starship".
There are other options with regards to "Afterlife Conditions", but I can't seem to think of them, right now.

Open Source Spirituality

I believe that all of us are confronted by cosmic mysteries like "life after death", "the origin of the universe", "the nature and influence of God", "memories of past lives", "alien encounters", etc., etc.
I believe that some but not all the answers reside within us for those that are trying to solve these puzzles. We put different pieces together for the same puzzles. If we work as a team (i.e. "open source"), we will solve the puzzles with our pieces and others.
Religions by their nature are not open source. Their goals are often control and group perpetuation rather than individual enlightenment. It's easier to follow a dogma by "those who know best" rather than search diligently to find what is true for oneself.
In the realm of computers and the internet, I admire greatly those who have tried to keep these subjects out of the hands of "software priests". These champions are Tim Berners-Lee and Linus Torvalds.
The inner secrets of the Free Masons, the Illuminati and other groups are now being broken by those who can communicate freely on the internet.
