A Prayer For NHL Peace
I pray that the Player's Association and NHL owners will be able to recognize the rights, duties and privileges of the other side as well as their own.

I pray that they will be able to see how a prolong lockout damages the economy of an area where NHL hockey is played.

I pray that the player's association will put more attention on improving the feeble pensions of players who have retired.

I pray for love and understanding of each other at the negotiation table.

I pray for a new NHL contract that is sane and promotes a better game of hockey to North America and the world.

And most of all, I pray that this is your prayer too.

Movie Review 90: The Forgotten
Mood:  a-ok
Although the story was slow to develop, it did unfold credibly with atequate spookiness and suspense.

There was a unique point of view on mysterious deaths/disappearances and memory losses.

I found this particular science fiction theme to be very realistic with regards to human relationships and experiences. It gives a whole different meaning to the phrase: "get a life." Three stars.

Have You Ever Been Contacted By Aliens?
I firmly believe that many religious leaders of yesterday were contacted by advanced alien organizations. Unfortunately, there would be no clear memory of the experience because aliens routinely shut it down in the mind.

It is difficult to prepare humans for first contact. A human used as a reluctant ambassador may not correctly communicate the informantion given him.

An attempt to link telepathically may have tragic results.

However, despite the dangers of mental overwhelm, I sincerely believe that such contact opens doors for those seeking to know the truth about themselves, others and religious mythology.

I Don't Need The Job/I Need The Money
Mood:  hungry
Still working lots of overtime. Still trying to keep ahead of the bills. The old van is starting to show its age. We'll need to get a new one very soon.

Am I tired? You bet, but I'm not tired of making money in order to keep our home in good shape and buy a few amenities like a decent automobile.

Busy As Beavers Over The Last Few Days
We've been setting up new computer desks in our refurbished office over the last few days. Lots of work, but fortunately her son has been doing most of it.

We've also been putting together our old computer mags/books for Goodwill(i.e. Salvation Army) and tossing out old software CDs because we really don't want to screw up anybody's computer with antiquated programs.

All my wife needs now is a new computer for her desk. Just having a nice looking office with two desks, one computer and three bookcases isn't enough.

The NHL And The Twilight Zone
Sometimes, you wonder which universe the owners and players of the National Hockey League are living in.

Here are some interesting comments on this issue:
"The NHL negotiations are right out of the movie, "Groundhog Day". Every day is repeated over and over again, and tomorrow, we'll wake up and find out that Gary Bettman and Bob Goodenow are meeting again to save the season. As the groundhog predicted, it's going to be a long, long, long winter."
"Something makes me think that two months from now there will be "hope". They'll play a one-game season followed by full playoffs. In the altered reality of NHL world, things like this do happen."

Where Do We Come From Anyway?
More and more, movies seem to be directing us towards darker parts of our mind. The mysteries about supernatural entities and monsters keep coming up as reoccurring themes. This is more than just weird fantasy in our imagination. On a spiritual level, we are trying to deal with subconscious memories that keep coming to the surface. Harry Potter, Constantine, Hellboy, Vampires, Zombies are probably the stuff of interesting past lives.

Even lighter material like Star Wars and Star Trek harken back to advanced civilizations that some of us feel nostalgia for.

An individual isn't just a piece of meat that is alive one moment and dead the next. Obviously, we are on a long, long journey towards self enlightenment and memory recovery. I am. Are you?

The Movie Constantine And Multiple Demonic Personality Disorder
The Hollywood obsession with Christian mythology continues in Constantine. What some might call supernatural visions others(shrinks)might call multiple demonic personality disorder.

Encountering one's personal demons, doesn't mean that one has been to hell and back. Memories of past evils can haunt a being until he does something about it.

The fact that some past lives have incredible monstrous conflicts attests to our creative game playing ability on a higher spiritual level.

Despite what the critics say, this film should be number one at the boxoffice this weekend.

Top Quote Concerning The NHL Lockout
"NHL owners and players assume hockey fans are different, that we will return like cows at milking time." Columnist Mike Strobel-Toronto Sun

From the 1930s to 1967, the original six NHL teams created a cash cow for its owners(See the book called "Net Worth"). From 1968 to 2004, this cash cow was practically sucked dry by the players and the owners. With thirty thristy teams feeding on this "cow's teats", it was hotly disputed as to how much "milk was produced or left".

In 2005, the cash cow disappeared. Will it ever return?

Hockey's Darkest Hour
This is the day when the unscrupulous scavengers of the National Hockey League won over those who play for the love of the game.

That's been the trend in most professional sports over the last twenty years. It isn't whether you win or lose or even how you play the game. It's about creating those big paydays by any means possible.

I remember when hockey was the greatest sport on earth with only six teams. Do you?
