On Tuesday's Idol, her song choices were far superior to Melinda Dolittle.
While I would give Melinda an edge on her dynamic soulful voice, her song stylings reminded me too much of Arethra Franklin and Tina Turner.
Jorden was just short of masterful on two of Barry Gibb's biggest hits, "To Love Somebody" and "Woman In Love".
It was a pity that Lakisha Jones got voted out over the only guy left on Idol, Blake Lewis. Lakisha's voice was a little too strident for my liking, but she certainly outperformed a marginal talent like Lewis who uses body motions as a substitute for atequate vocal renditions.
My original choice for Idol 2007 was Melinda, but Jorden has developed so much during the competition. Only a majory gaffe in the next two weeks would make her lose the contest.
