Judgement Day And The End Of The World

Harold Camping, an 89 year old preacher has predicted that the world will end on May/21/11. His method for arriving at that date is based on mathematical formulas rather than the antics of Satan, The AntiChrist and The False Prophet in the biblical book of Revelation

Reading through much of this stuff can make your head spin. It's open to interpretation like most materials in The Bible.

The Rapture of The Faithful could simply be a teleportation system of an advanced civilization. This used to happen regularly on Star Trek as an easy way to get from a starship to a planet or vice versa. "Beam me up Scotty, there's no intelligent life down here".

"The Revelation of St. John" reads like an alien invasion of Earth. Satan is tossed down to the planet and creates is own version of Jesus Christ in "The AntiChrist". "The False Prophet" then creates a world wide religion that worships this AntiChrist.

"The Second Coming of Christ" rescues the Christian Church from the bad guys who will probably be using super mind control devices on humanity.

When powerful beings fight each other, you get something that looks like a "A Civil War In The Q Continuum". It could get very nasty and maybe some humans need to be teleported away from the action.

In meantime, there are certain superbeings who's job is to prevent Earth from disappearing through a blackhole that appears every now and then closeby.

Teaching Practical Subjects For The 21st Century

Most schools give courses like it was a preparation for the game show Jeopardy. Much of the information is memorized for exams than forgotten, right after.

We all live in the real world where it can be tough to make a living, save money or get along with someone from another culture.

I recommend these courses from "The School Of Hard Knocks".

  1. Money Management: Bascially, this is just living within one's means while putting money away for a rainy day or retirement. In Canada, saving vehicles include RRSPs, RESPs, TFSAs and home ownership. Discover them and use them.
  2. Business and Investments: Becoming an entrepreneur like Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg or Google's Sergey Brin and Larry Page can be very profitable. My own views on "Stock Market Investing" are on the right side of this page under "Investing In The Future". This is an important subject because lots of money can be made or lost on the stock market.
  3. Wellness and Health: Life can become difficult if you're prone to ill health and/or obesity. It makes good sense to eat properly and exercise well. I've written many blog entries on this subject and here's one that I've hyperlinked.
  4. Politics and Democracy: As a citizen of whatever country you're in, you have a duty to examine the political and democratic issues of that country and take a stand on them. Understanding the positions of political parties is also part of your civic duties.
  5. Comparative Religion:Freedom of religion is a basic human right. Although you many disagree with a person's religious views, you should understand and respect different spiritual paths. In the 21st century, this includes new age religions where aliens and past-life memories are part of a unique vision of life.

Even if schools neglect the challenges of modern day problems, the above subjects can be self-taught on the internet.

I wish you well in developing a life long strategy in handling the major areas of conflict and depression on Earth. Tell me your story.

The Hope For A Better Life In This World And/Or The Next

The stimulus for this blog is from Derek Miller who passed away from cancer a few weeks ago. He writes very well about his life and his family, but his continued atheism on his death bed was depressing. For many, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but for some there is only darkness. It is very sad when someone doesn't tune into a spiritual reality during their lifetime.

The reason mankind has progressed on so many fronts including "The War On Cancer" is because visionaries like Moses have seen some "Promised Land" in their future or their children's future. With our physical senses we're aware of the here and now, but with our spiritual senses we're aware of spiritual realities like "The Light" which turns on during near death experiences.

The sum of anyone's life is more than their human experiences. Religious mystics, sci/fi writers, paranormal researchers have widen mankind's cosmic view of the universe. This certainly happened to me with my own "Cosmic Views Of The Universe" on the right side of this blog page.

Today's world was built on the hopes and dreams of our forefathers. Tomorrow's world will be built by this generation's hopes and dreams. This includes concepts of Heaven, higher civilizations and where you personally will end up.

The Reality And Mythology Of Superheroes

Judging from the size of Comic-Cons, there is a superhero in just about everyone that wants to come out.

There's even a a test on this website where you can find out which superhero you're closest too. I'm closest to the Hulk who is one of the most dysfunctional hero in comics. You can find a list of the most screwed up dorks here.

For most people, superheroes are just fantasy role playing games. Wouldn't it be great if we were dynamic powerful beings instead of weak, boring humans?

It would be amazing if the mythology of superheroes was based on subconscious memories rather than childlike imagination? They started off well, but because of lack of training or moral direction, they ended up like characters in "Kick Ass". Some of them may have even destroyed civilizations like in Star Trek's "The Survivors".

It does look like there are no superheroes on Earth, but in actual reality there's no A-list, B-list, C-list heroes like Superman, Thor, Spiderman and The Green Lantern. In the battle of the Gods in ages past, there was much collateral damage to innocent humans. This was probably a civil war that was similar to what happened in the Q ContinuumThe beings responsible had their powers reduced by "The Supreme God of The Universe".

Earth could use a powerful robot like Gort in "The Day The Earth Stood Still", but so far none of the Z-listed superheroes on Earth have made it that far.

A true superhero would have discovered the bases of Bid Laden/al Queda/the Taliban much sooner and saved thousands of lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One of these days, I'd like to move from a Z-list superhero to at least a C-list one. Any superhero on this dirt ball is better than none.

Jack's "Orange Crush" defeats The Quebec Separatists

The final score was the New Democratic Party 58, the Bloc Quebecois (The Separatists) 4. The away team defeated the locals on home turf (Quebec).

This wasn't a football game. It was federal election, but it was an important win for the federalists over the separatists in Quebec. The numbers in question were seats not points.

Do you remember the Quebec soveignity referendums in 1980 and 1995? Canada came perilously close to breaking up in those referendums.

Sure, the ruling Conservatives got their majority (i.e.167 seats to be exact) that's 8 more than what is needed for a majority, but the NDP got the biggest gains in their history: 102 seats from 37 in the last election. It now makes them the official opposition!!!

The other guy with the Liberals "retired".

I dedicate the song, "Big Time Operator" to Jack Layton for moving up in the Canadian Political Hierarchy System.

The Royal Wedding Is An Instant TCM Classic

The Royal Wedding of Will and Kate was like something out of a Turner Classic Movie. Doesn't the above Black and White photo look like a movie poster from the 1940s?

Then there's Kate's wedding dress which looked similiar to Grace's Kelly's wedding dress in 1956. The old fashioned hats fitted well with the occasion except for Princess Beatrice's "fallopian tube hat" and Victoria Beckham's "antenna hat".

The Queen was dressed in canary yellow which was fitting for a spring wedding in 1947.

The male Royals were dressed in uniforms that looked like they came from the operetta Chocolate Soldier. This was a classic musical from the 1940s starring Nelson Eddy.

The funniest moment came when a priest did bad chartwheels in Westminster Abbey. Now doubt, this was a classic Marx Brothers moment.

With over a billion viewers on TV and a million and a half "extras" in London, this spectacle definitely rivals anything done by Cecil B. De Mille. Four stars!!!

Nazis And Ancient Aliens

Last week, I saw "Ancient Aliens" on the History Channel. Because it was such a fascinating experience, I watched four episodes in a row.

My favourite episode was "Nazis and UFOs" . There seemed to be lots evidence that linked alien technology to Nazi rocket/spacecraft/weapon programs.

Through other sources, I've discovered that there was a planned invasion of Earth at that time which would have lead to an Apocalyse with a phoney Second Coming of Christ. The aliens were called Marcabs, but they were stopped by the defense system of "The Galactic Federation of Light".   Powerful beings in "The Christ Continuum" were and still are connected to this organization.

The other programs dealt with alien settlements near Japan, in North America, India and in the Atlantic ocean(i.e. Atlantis).

I believe there has been numerous alien encounters in the past. TV programs like "Star Trek", "Star Gate" and "Doctor Who" hit a resonant cord in their viewers. No doubt, many of us have buried memories of what lies Out There.

There has been a "Memory Recovery Project" going on since the 1950s. The goal  is to recover memories from past lives. More than anything else, science fiction seems to stimulate our minds and free us from religious dogma.

Easter is a celebration of miracles, hope in the afterlife and "The Kingdom of God".

It has much meaning for me and I've expressed these insights in my "Cosmic Views Of The Universe" section on the right side of this blog.

Happy Easter again to you and your family. May you discover the answers to your biggest questions about life and God.

Inside The Jesus App

Most "Jesus Apps" relate to the traditional view of Jesus and passages out of the Bible. It's comfort food for believers.

My particular Jesus App relates to "The Development of The Brotherhood of Christ From One A.D to Present Time".

As well as biblical scripture and my own experiences, sources for "My Cosmic Visions of The Universe" include Gene Roddenberry, George Lucas, Kurt Vonnegut and Rod Sterling.

I believe that we've all looked through the same space-time portal and discovered things of interest out "there" (i.e. the neighbourhood universe).

Some of this knowledge could have been obtained by "Out Of Body Experiences" or spiritual studies of one kind or the other.

Basically, I'm a Christian Gnostic who believes that all spirirtual roads lead to the Jesus App and the Jesus App leads to Jesus.

There has been too much dogma and divisions in the traditional churches for them to be spokespeople for "The Church of Christ In The 21st Century". The arguments between Christian sects can only be resolved by  more personal visions from divine sources. One finds his own Jesus in his own way.

There is much to learn from the Bible and biblical quotations. These are definitely part of "The Universal Jesus App", but it doesn't end there. God's internet has connected to mankind's internet.

I wish you and your family a Happy Easter.

I've Opened A Twitter Account

Twittering is "The Son Of Instant Messaging And Texting". I prefer blogging myself, but there is a use for random thoughts, ideas and experiences that can be expressed in 140 characters or less.

One might consider "tweets" as a rough draft for a blog entry.

Tweeting could lead to banality and triviality. Not every thought and experience is worthy of a place in history, but it does have its uses.

Today, my latest tweets will appear at the bottom of this blog.

My tweets are of lesser important to a blog entry. They are mildly interesting, informative and/or funny pieces of information.

If you tweet or twitter, please let me know and I'll follow you.
