The Mythology Of Superheroes Continues

Superheroes come in different packages. Some are profound and gifted like "The Jedi Knights" while others like "The Fantastic Four" are goofy and cartoonish.

Out of the same environment that produced alien attacks, the H-Bomb and new age religions, superheroes were born, perhaps, too many of them.

Most of them had incredible physical powers that could be used against badguys like aliens from Mars.

Except for Doctor Strange or Harry Potter, few of these superguys had developed heightened spiritual powers.

Under a mild-mannered exterior, there could lie a secret superbeing. Maybe, this is true for a few humans, but not for most of us. What about you? Do you have a secret powerful identity?

War Of The Worlds(It could happen here.)

At the end of the 19th century a young author, H.G. Wells, became aware of a powerful alien force that could crush Earth defenses in a matter of days. His novel on the subject was called "War Of The Worlds."

Certainly, this wasn't the same vision of John the Apostle who saw the Earth conquered by intimidation and deception in Revelations. The leaders of this apocalyptic alien power were the Black Trinity(i.e. Satan, The AntiChrist and The False Prophet). The terms are first century nomenclature

There is some proof that Nazi Germany was connected to an evil empire called "The Marcab Confederacy". Needless to say, The Marcab invasion plans were curtailed by powerful spiritual beings circa 1945. A new era for Earth began at that point.

Whether the invaders are Neo-Nazies, Marcabs, Grays, Robot Monsters or teletubbies, the planet has powerful hidden defenders against them.

Orsen caused a panic in 1938 with a dramatic reading of "War of the Worlds". Within our subconscious, there seems to be a darkly covered presence of a powerful alien threat.

Work References For Irene Barron

It's tough when you get laid off from a job through no fault of your own.

I must emphasis that Irene held more than one position in her last company. She was and still is capable of handling a heavy workload. Here's what two senior executives have to say about her job performance:

Quality Not Quantity Of Aid Is Needed In Africa

Governments and individuals should pay close attention to where their aid dollars go in the Third World. Whether it's .5 percent of the GNP or .7 percent is irrelevant. Most donators want a "a good bang for their donated buck".

Government are notorious for doling out money without knowing what happens to it. That's why in Canada, we have a watchdog over government spending called "The Auditor General". Aid to poorer nations should be scrutinized in a similar way by an independent body.

Perhaps, the best way to go with foreign aid is through church charities like "World Vision". It's been around since the 1950s and its record seems good.

There's No Simple Solution To World Poverty
Mood: accident prone
Obviously, just throwing money at poverty isn't going to handle it. True, starvation and/or disease can be fixed for awhile, but the basic conditions of underemployment and low education continue. If you add corrupt governments to this mixture, it becomes toxic and intolerable.

Bandaid solutions just don't cut it anymore. Real long range planning is needed for third world countries.

I would also like to point out that continued drought and famine through global warming will only slow political and humanitarian efforts to correct deep-seated problems.

On July/06/05, the actual "Live-Eight Nations" will discuss "Africa" and "Climate Change". Perhaps, it's time for the seven to reach an agreement excluding the eighth country(George Bush and the U.S.)

Website Of The Week: Live 8 Live
Back in the 1960s, there was a movement to end the war in Veitnam and it happened. Also, out of this era came the equal rights movement which is felt today with regards to minority, women and gay causes.

In India and China poverty has decreased, but in Africa for different reasons, it has increased.

Probably, the biggest barrier to improving poorer countries standard of living are trade barriers which prevent exports to wealthy nations like the U.S.

Participation in world trade should be a right for all peoples and not just a priviledge for the rich.

Obviously, if things are going to change for the better a grassroots movement is called for because politicians just want this problem to go away.

The problem goes away when the proper ways to handled it are implemented. That's where an activist press, public and internet come in. Keep the ball rolling. Empower others through knowledge and an anti aids/poverty crusade.

The fat cats of this world are losing grounds to those who can do more with less.

Our 700th Entry: The Secrets Of Eternal Youth
Like the old song says: "Enjoy yourself it's later than you think." No doubt, individuals who are happy with themselves and their bodies will live longer than those who are depressed.

Of course, our bodies have to be looked after. How many junk food fanatics/smokers live past 90? Also, do you have a meaningful purpose in life past 65? Do you simply want to go on a permanent vacation and relax? Remember death is nature's way of telling you to slow down. It's also a change of environment and remember a "change is as good as a rest."

What about "meat and potatoes people" or "couch potatoes"? Not many of them make it past 90 either. Certain habits have to change. Fruits, vegetables and exercise serve a purpose in the human condition. "If you don't use it, you lose it?" That includes the human brain.

Don't take yourself to seriously. Not everyone is the same and we should tolerate differences in others, even extreme differences.

Have a healthy/fun life. Don't worry about what others think of you.

Land Of The Dead: The Zombies Aren't The Bad Guys
What is missing from these movies is the zombie's point of view. How did it become one? Was it sentenced to "rot in hell" by some advanced but oppressive society? What were the crimes that produced such severe punishments?

Of course, none of these questions have ever been asked or answered in a zombie movie. The usual premise is that all zombies are exactly alike and they all thirst for human blood and flesh.

In gaining laurels for the best in negative stereotyping and propaganda, the campaign against the undead wins the biggest prize.

Perhaps, zombies are simply spiritual beings who have failed to resurrect their dead bodies in a wholesome state. They, also, might be intergalactic criminals who have served their crimes, but have not been released from their prison. What is the real history behind these hellish myths?

Nightmares come out of our subconscious, but what is the source of them.

The only understanding we have on this matter is the propaganda that we've been fed by movie directors(i.e. Basically, zombies are demonically evil and we should fear and fight them at every turn.)

The true story of the walking dead has yet to be told.

Billy Graham's Last Crusade

The rift in the Space/Time Continuum during the 1950s would not have occurred without the help of evangelist, Billy Graham. His whole focus on Jesus Christ opened "The Door", so to speak, to incredible spiritual energy that permeates the world to this day.

The vision of a high tech society that watches over us came to the forefront in the 50s. It was as if "First Contact" was made with aliens and then forgotten about except in Area 51 where something still remains.

The mystical communications of these advanced civilizations took root in Gene Roddenberry, Issac Asimov, Robert Heinlen, Ron Hubbard, George Lucas, Kurt Vonnegut and others(e.g. myself).

Deep-seated memories surfaced from science fiction, rock and roll and Billy Graham's sermons.

If you go through entries in this blog on Jesus Christ and new age Christianity, you'll see where I'm coming from on these concepts.

There's no doubt that the energy sources reverend Graham contacted were and are real. How they might be interpreted, however, is another matter.
