Billy Graham's Last Crusade
Mood:  a-ok
The rift in the Space/Time Continuum during the 1950s would not have occurred without the help of evangelist, Billy Graham. His whole focus on Jesus Christ opened "The Door", so to speak, to incredible spiritual energy that permeates the world to this day.

The vision of a high tech society that watches over us came to the forefront in the 50s. It was as if "First Contact" was made with aliens and then forgotten about except in Area 51 where something still remains.

The mystical communications of these advanced civilizations took root in Gene Roddenberry, Issac Asimov, Robert Heinlen, Ron Hubbard, George Lucas, Kurt Vonnegut and others(e.g. myself).

Deep-seated memories surfaced from science fiction, rock and roll and Billy Graham's sermons.

If you go through entries in this blog on Jesus Christ and new age Christianity, you'll see where I'm coming from on these concepts.

There's no doubt that the energy sources reverend Graham contacted were and are real. How they might be interpreted, however, is another matter.

The Search For A Decent Job Continues
Mood:  special
I've been spending a great deal of time sending out resumes for my wife. Since she's been laid off, I estimate that I've sent out more than 250 resumes. It surprises me that she hasn't landed a quality position in her field yet because she had over 10 productive years as HR, payroll/benefits administrator in a small company.

Her bosses wrote glowing revenues of her work.

I intend to continue sending out resumes until she gets a good job. Your prayers and good wishes are appreciated in these frustrating times.

Happy Father's Day
Mood:  celebratory
I'm not a father myself, but my wife(Irene) did have three children(two boys and one girl)from an earlier marriage, so I'm a stepdad.

I'm also a grandfather(papy)to five children(three girls and two lads).

Some people might call me lucky, but I miss not having children of my own. However, working on the retirement requirements for me, myself and Irene takes all of our resources.

I'm one of the fortunate few who will receive an indexed pension for life from their job(i.e. Canada Post) but that's not the case with my wife or most people in Canada or the U.S. They invest most of our free money in a house and/or a few RRSPs. Old age pensions from governments aren't enough to retire on.

Despite life's hardships and setbacks, the world is still a great place to live and learn in.

Website Of The Week: Ridiculous Infomericals
Mood:  energetic
Do you remember guys like Tom Vu and Matthew Lesko? These were just some of the ridiculous con artists that dominated Infomerical Land. Now they can be revisited on the web anytime you want. It's really hard to understand why anyone took these guys seriously. Ridiculous Infomercial Review

A Real Gone Cat
Our cat(Mittens)disappeared(Go cat go)for three hours when we inadvertently left the front door open. We searched the neighbourhood for an hour and half, but no feline was in sight.

We left the door open and surprise, surprise, the cat appeared out of nowhere. We thought she was a goner, but the cat came back.

We're thankful our big lovable pussy returned to her home.

Today Was A Good Day For Seeking A Job
Mood:  caffeinated
My wife, Irene, had one interview today and five telephone calls from prospective employers. All in all, it was the best day yet as a job seeker.

Summarizing her credentials is very easy:
She has over ten years of HR and payroll/benefits experience. This includes ten years with a plastic manufacturing company and two years with a major retail outlet. Obviously, she possesses strong leadership and communication/learning abilities to handle the challenges of different positions.

I get the feeling she won't be unemployed very long, so if you want to hire her, the time to do it is now.

Bobby Vinton's Concert At Casio Rama
Mood:  a-ok
At an age when most people are drawing "Social Security", Bobby Vinton(age 70)is still going strong with his family(two daughters/son)and his big band.

It's hard to believe that Bobby played in his father's band during the early 50s, but when he starts blowing on the saxophone or clarinet, you become a believer. His tribute to the big bands of the 40s was my personal highlight of the evening.

He did most of the musical styles and his own hits from the 20th century.

As well as the music, Bobby liked telling dumb jokes(like the inventor of the mini-skirt)"Seymour Heinee". His voice needed some electrification to meet the demands of a large audience but with all the adoring female fans in attendence. Who cares?

It's Hot. It's Humid And It's Stinks
I'm talking about the weather and the garbage strike in Brampton, Ontario. Something should be done about these problems.

Call on the great weatherman in the sky or Brampton City Hall to get the show on or off the road.

What do you think of garbage pickup from Rocky Racoon and friends? Cheap but not efficient, eh?

B.S. Doesn't Baffle Brains When The Router Won't Work
A couple of days ago, I thought I set up a wireless network with my wife's new laptop with keen precision. When I got the router humming, the internet worked well and the notebook even printed from the next room.

Humility soon set in when all of my dynamic connections started coming apart. The internet disappeared and the bloody #$%&* machine couldn't find my printer or any common network at all.

Then I realized it wasn't as easy as it looked, so I sent for a computer technican(Adrian)who helped me before. Within an hour and a half, he had all networks and connections running smoothly including my wife's e-mail that I had screwed up majorly.

Adrian worked quickly and only charged $70.00 Canadian.

Finding a tech geek who isn't full of B.S. and confusion is a real treat. This is his webpage. Check it out.

It's My Birthday And It's Good To Alive
Mood:  celebratory
My wife is still looking for a job. I'm still trying to sell a story. I'm still working at Canada Post, but, gee, it could be worse. I complained about having no socks until I met a man with no feet.

We should always count our blessings every day. I'm still in good health and I still like a good laugh. Also, there's some overtime in my workplace where I can pull in some gravy for my mashed potatoes.

The road to fulfilment is longer for some than others. If you're following a lowly pilgrim's journey through life, this might be good place to start. Sometimes one's progress is measured in inches rather than miles.
