Movie Review 66: Pirates Of The Caribbean
In the right hands, this could have been a very spooky movie with a mysterious quest and a scary thrilling ending. Something along the lines of what happens to a ghost ship like "The Flying Dutchman".

However, the movie was made as a swashbuckler and it succeeds well in that genre with great supernatural special effects thrown in.

However, I'm going to give it two and half stars because there could have been more suspense and mystery in it.

Hellboy Is #1
Mood:  loud
As predicted, "Hellboy" was number one at the box office last week.

From what I've read and heard, he did a find job handling his demons and other people's demons. Maybe, the whole thing was just past life therapy by the author and Ron Perlman. Other hells of note:
A Personal Hell
Entrances To Hell
Etiquette Hell
T-Shirt Hell

What's Behind The Movie "Hellboy"?
Mood:  spacey
It's rumored that the character of "Hellboy" is based on a legend of a fallen apostle who lost favour with Jesus and was sentenced to guard the "Gates of Hell" for a thousand years. The apostle in question loved the good life and avoided his responsibilities like the plague. This lead to his hellish gatekeeper job from 944 AD to 1944 AD.

From what I've read in the reviews, Hellboy is a well defined and funny character, much like the apostle that he's based on.

Nothing beats a superhero based on reality. This movie should blow the rest away at the box office.

Defenders Of The Innocent
There are many myths about superheroes that are spread through comic books and motion pictures. Personally, I think that guardian angels are the real superheroes that defend us on a daily basis. They protect us constantly from evil on a higher spiritual level.

Perhaps, the main problem on earth is a shortage of spiritual defenders to protect all the children. Why not leave your body in your sleep and train to be a guardian angel? The world would be a better safer place.

Salvation Part 2: The Mystical Password
When the Bible communicates the idea "that there is no other name(i.e. Jesus Christ)under Heaven given by which we must be saved," my mind immediately brings up a computer password that either allows or disallows an entrance to a software program. This includes "saving" a file or a picture.

Obviously, computer technology in the 1st century was completely non-existent. However, if a lifetime was going to be "saved" as a high tech computer file, it might need a password like "Jesus Christ". Impossible to understand before 1940, but easier since then. All memories, emotions, abilities and personality traits could be preserved this way by an advanced civilization.

The Father of all living computers could be connected to using the correct password. What do you think?

The Best Life Insurance
A couple was thinking of putting a life insurance policy on their unborn child who wasn't even conceived yet. They consulted three brokers for the best deal. The first one, an agnostic agent, said that he had a great plan "from birth to death". The second broker(A Jewish man)emphasized that his company covered "from the womb to the tomb." The third person, a Christian, said that he had an insurance policy from erection to resurrection.

A 21st Century View Of Basic Salvation
Christian fundamentalists often point to the passage in John's gospel which indicates that a person needs "to be born again". "He that is born of flesh is flesh. He that is born of spirit is spirit."

Being born in the flesh is the entrance point to this world. Being born in the spirit is the entrance point to "The Kingdom Of God". The Brotherhood of Christ is a spiritual organization. Spirits unite with other spirits to share experiences and help lost souls get found. "As it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be, world without end."
