Moview Review 54: The Santa Clause 2
Tim Allen struggles to find a Mrs Claus and save Christmas from his evil clone/toy. This is a charming sequel that has laughs in strange places like with his reindeer and the tooth fairy. He's still the funniest Santa around but the movie isn't as good as the original and that's disappointing. Two and half stars.

Trouble With Tripod Software(Trellix)
Mood:  down
Over the last few days, I've had no success in editing textboxes in my Tripod webpages. Tripod support has been having difficulties with this issue too. They're now trying to trace internet connections and ISPs to see what's going on there.

It's actually taken support a few days to realize that there's a screw up with some Trellix textboxes.

Has anyone else had similiar problems? Time to kick butt at Tripod so they can handle problems quicker than they are doing now.

Visit The Mirror Room At Hotel California
The Mirror Room is the gateway to "Cartoon World" at Hotel California. Sure you're going to see yourself in the mirrors, but there's going to be something or someone else there. The two dimensional universe awaits you where you can be a kid again forever(or maybe for a few hours).

The Hotel California Golf Course
Mood:  lucky
With the cold weather coming upon us quickly, it would be good to get away and play some golf on a warm desert course.

On the Hotel California links, I'm sure there's lots of bogeymen to play against. Why not try the high stakes "skins game?" What have you got to lose?

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco. "Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend, I'd like to bring home with me." "Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him." "There's something you should know," the son continued, "He was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us." "I'm sorry to hear that son. Maybe, we can help him find somewhere to live." "No, mom and dad, I want want him to live with us." "Son", said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He find a way to live on his own." At this point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful or smart as we are.

Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us.

There's a miracle called friendship that dwells in the heart. You don't know how it happens or when it gets started, but you know the special lift it always brings. Friendship is God's most precious gift.

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make us smile and encourage us to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us.

Please share this story with others.

Concert Review: Freddie Cannon, The Crystals, Lou Christie
Mood:  a-ok
Almost three hours of 50s and 60s rock and roll by the original artists is pretty good for a 35 dollar admission charge. The Crystals were especially good doing their own hits as well as cover versions of songs from the Andrew Sisters(1940s)to The Jackson Five(1970s). Three and a half stars.

Time For A Vacation
With the snow starting to fly and the winds becoming colder, it's time for a vacation at a warm ball-busting resort like Hotel California, Arizona. True it's dangerous and scary, but everyone needs a challenge in order to grow and learn new things.

Do you believe that sooner or later, we all go there anyway? Why not sooner?

In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Number One At The Box Office: Matrix Revolutions
Despite bad reviews and the obvious exploitation of the Matrix audience and its story line, "Matrix Revolutions" was number one at the box office.

As I have said in my blog before, there is a big audience for this kind of science fiction that stresses altered realities and complex games. Many of us want to go to strange worlds that challenge our senses and our minds.

Movie Review 53: Analyze This
Mood:  caffeinated
Mobster, Robert De Niro discovers his sensitive side with the help of shrink, Billy Crystal. Basically, a spoof on gangster movies. Very talkative film and not everything between De Niro and Crystal is funny or meaningful, but there's enough fun to enjoy the movie. Two and half stars.
