The Movies: "Hotel Rwanda" And"White Noise" Open Today
I find it ironic and significant that a movie about the murder of 900,000 Rwandans opens on the same day with a movie about communicating with the dead.

In 1994, the Tutsis(minority Rwandans)never had a chance to communicate their plight to the rest of the world. Perhaps, the "white noise" that they've been making for ten years is finally getting through.

I remember reading about the horrific war between the Hutus and the Tutsis tribes in Africa! The most terrible act of attempted genocide, (by the Hutus, against the Tutsis), since Germany! (and maybe even more horrific, and terrible), I cannot judge. I truly believe that GOD cries when HE sees how we abhor, and try to annihilate each other for one petty reason or another. I agree, we shouldn't boast about living in a "blest country", the blood of many murdered souls drench this American soil! Yellow, Red, Black and White. The "White Noise", and generational knowledge of our own inhumanity to each other, has no doubt deafened and blinded us, to the horrendous plight, and gutwrenching cries of other suffering, and daily dying peoples. GOD forbid that we get off easily. Pam

Dear Pam,
I was touched by your reply to my "Hotel Rwanda", "White Noise" post. Hopefully, with the rise of rapid communications in the 21st century, potential mass murders or other horrifying events can be stopped or lessened before or after they happen. Look at the rapid responses to the Tsunami on Boxing Day last year.
Good bless,
David Barron
