Of course, this was a "Toronto Maple Leaf Game" held at "The Air Canada Centre".
Originally, she wanted to leave in the second period, but with the score 2 to 1 for the Leafs, she held in there until the end. The final score was Toronto 4 Ottawa 2.
This was the second Leaf game that I've seen. The last one was at Maple Leaf Gardens in the 1970s when Darryl Sittler and Lanny MacDonald were playing.
I'm even old enough to remember when the Leafs won the Stanley Cup in 1967. That was the last year of the original six teams.
I'm not a big a fan now compared to many years ago, however, when I saw Jason Blake score the final Leaf goal against the Senators, it took me back to the great Leaf teams of the 1960s.
I've always been a Leafs fan and always will be, so are Newfoundlanders like my wife.
