There are some similiarities, but there are some big differences. While "Q" and Jesus share similar powers, one was guided by a purpose and the other wasn't.
Having the power of God doesn't necessarily make one God.
Jesus succeeded in every challenge given to him by the heavenly Father. As for others including the Apostles, "As many who received him, give he the power to become a Son of God."
The divine training relating to "Sonship" didn't end with the Apostles' death or the death of many Christians in the centuries afterwords.
"The Christ Continuum" enables a believer to become the powerful Son of God that he/she should be.
In "The Q Continuum" powerful beings simply look for games or situations that amuse themselves. That isn't the case with The Brotherhood of Christ. They all work to help lesser beings win. That includes those on Planet Earth, right now.
